About North Shore K-9 Services at Von Miller Kennels
For more than 30 years, North Shore K-9 Services at Von Miller Kennels has been dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build lasting relationships through professional training, quality boarding, and responsible German Shepherd importing. Located in Mundelein, Illinois, we have earned the trust of families throughout Lake County by providing personalized care, proven training methods, and a commitment to the health and well-being of every dog that enters our facility.
Our passion for dogs extends far beyond training. We believe every dog deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a structured environment that promotes confidence, obedience, and trust. Whether you're looking for professional dog training, a dependable boarding facility, or a German Shepherd bred from exceptional European bloodlines, we are committed to delivering the highest level of care and service.
Over 30 Years of Experience
Experience matters when it comes to understanding canine behavior. With more than three decades of hands-on experience, North Shore K-9 Services has worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. From energetic puppies learning their first commands to adult dogs needing behavioral correction, we've developed training programs that address each dog's individual personality and learning style.
Our approach is built on consistency, clear communication, and practical training techniques that help dogs become well-mannered companions both at home and in everyday situations. We work closely with owners throughout the training process, helping them understand how to reinforce positive behaviors long after formal training has ended.
Meet Jeffrey Miller
Jeffrey Miller has devoted his career to working with dogs and helping owners achieve lasting success through professional training and responsible importing. His years of experience have allowed him to develop a practical, individualized approach that focuses on understanding each dog's unique temperament while building trust and communication between dogs and their owners.
Jeffrey's commitment to quality extends beyond training. His knowledge of German Shepherd bloodlines, canine behavior, and proper care has helped establish Von Miller Kennels as a trusted resource for families seeking professional training, dependable boarding, and well-bred German Shepherd puppies.
Every dog is treated with patience, respect, and personalized attention, ensuring they receive the guidance needed to reach their full potential.
Our Training Philosophy
Successful dog training begins with understanding that no two dogs are exactly alike. Every dog has its own personality, energy level, and learning pace, which is why we avoid one-size-fits-all training methods.
Instead, we create customized training programs based on each dog's individual needs and your goals as an owner. Whether your dog requires basic obedience, behavioral correction, recall training, socialization, or more advanced instruction, our programs are designed to build confidence while encouraging consistent, reliable behavior.
Our focus is on teaching dogs practical skills that improve everyday life while giving owners the knowledge to maintain those behaviors at home.
A Modern Facility Designed for Exceptional Care
Our Mundelein facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for every dog in our care. From our boarding accommodations and training areas to our professional kennel and whelping facilities, every aspect of our property supports the health, comfort, and development of the dogs we serve.
Dogs staying with us benefit from structured daily routines, regular supervision, and individualized attention. Whether they're participating in a Board & Train program, boarding during your travels, or visiting for professional training, every dog receives the care and attention they deserve.
Our facility allows us to create a positive learning environment where dogs can develop confidence while owners enjoy peace of mind knowing their pets are in experienced hands.
